K&M 18880 should work great for that. The trick is to take the K&M 18881 stacker and flip it backwards, so the second tier doesn't have to overlap the first.

Good idea!
The stacker seems quite high though. My 2nd X stand is just 12cm higher than the other (so the MODX8 is just above the NS2). I guess that the vertical part of the stacker can be cut?
How does it attach to the lower part?

Thank you.
The Nord Stage 2 HA88: 1287mm x 118mm x 334 mm (18.5kg)
The MODX8 is : 1333mm x 160mm x 404mm (13.8kg)

True, at its lowest (just "dropping it in" to the opening and not using any of its "stoppers" to get more height), the stacker gives you 6.5" from the surface the lower keyboard rests on to the surface the upper keyboard rests on. The MODX8 is a bit over 6" high, so that works well if you put the MODX8 on the bottom tier. But if you want the Nord on the lower tier, you'll have a lot more "free space" between the boards. You'd have to do some custom modification to get it closer.

Okay, here are some pictures about how I adjusted the K&M 18880 to my needs. First thing was that I drilled another hole in the top crossbar to achieve a width of the whole stand exactly for the rubber feet of my NE5 to sit aside the stand's bars to get maximum stability. Then I adjusted the height and the angle of the top tiers to give maximum visibility of the lower keyboard's panel but still having both keyboards very close to each other. Then I printed a banner just to pull over the crossbar.

When I now look at your rig, Mr_G, the only fear I have is that your heavier as well as deeper keyboard would sit on top and could have an impact on the balance of it all which could be risky. That is what I would really recommend to test with your real equipment. If putting the boards the other way round would be an alternative I'd go for it.

Many thanks for posting the pictures!
Hm... I see. Yes the inverted stacker might end a bit out of the centre of gravity and get unstable. I will have to see how stable the whole thing is. I imagine somebody doing the favour of picking up the NS2 and the whole thing falling back by the weight of the MODX.
