Hi,
from OLED TVs it is known that they have refresh mechanisms onboard in order to prevent the display from suffering burn-in effects. Further, even in stand-by mode OLED TVs will refresh the display in certain intervals therefore. So e.g. there are reports on LG OLED TV displays being literally destroyed because the owner - in order to save energy - plucked d/c out completely when not watching TV, instead of leaving it on stand-by (https://www.cnet.com/news/oled-screen-burn-in-what-you-need-to-know/, thus disabling the LG pixel refresh mechanism. No guarantee therefore, sorry man...
These burn-in and/or retention effects are especially problematic when it comes to uses cases where there are static pictures being shown on the display for longer times.
Does anybody know how the Nord devices with OLED displays handle this, as (at least in my case) the display often shows the same static content for hours as i'm just jingling away... and I tend to plug out the device as soon as I am finally done (meaning when my wife shouts at me to come get breakfast... oh really, night's over all of a sudden? Again?).
Any experiences or advice on this? Known statements from Clavia?
Cheers, Lars

Re: OLED display refresh?
Was discussed in https://www.norduserforum.com/nord-electro-forum-f9/electro-5-display-dims-t9773.html?hilit=burn%20oled#p64371. Nothing official from Nord though.
I recall someone mentioning that their OLED image shifts a few pixels occasionally, which if true, I expect occurs to minimize burn-in effects. --I searched for this thread but didn't find it.

Re: OLED display refresh?
Thanks for the link. I did search the forums before opening this thread, but I did not find that linked thread, somehow. (I just understood that this forum's search field (the top left one) acts somewhat strange, as it just adds every new search phrase on top of the last ones, and then only finds entries that contain all stacked search phrases within the 1st search results...). I should have noticed the top right search field earlier...
Sorry for bothering you.
