Hi all,

New user here. Can anyone provide advice on if now is a good time to buy a Stage 3 88? I'm looking for advice such as "BUY NOW!", "NEUTRAL - mid-product life-cycle", or "DON'T BUY! - Updates soon". (Kinda like when you are considering a purchase of a Mac/IPhone etc... and check out the MacRumors site buyer's guide, if you are familiar with that.)

I see that the Stage3 88 was released in 2017 and here we are in late 2018 and I would hate to drop the money if say a Stage4 88 was coming out in mid 2019 or something like that. I don't know if anyone here has that kind of information, but any purchase advice, thoughts, and so on are greatly appreciated!

Here are the releases:
2005 Nord Stage 88
2008 Nord Stage EX
2011 Nord Stage 2
2015 Nord Stage 2EX
2017 Nord Stage 3
Based on these intervals, maybe a Nord Stage 3EX in 2020 or so....?

I find the window between Thanksgiving and Christmas to often be a great time to find a discounted Nord from some sellers, depending on the model and whether its being phased out, although the Stage 3 will be around awhile. Now is a good time as fair prices can be found and no Stage 4 will likely be available for years.

No, it's very hot and rainy here, don't buy it yet....

I think it's a good time to buy. Plenty of inventory and hungry sellers out there if you call around, ask for "B" stock, etc. You'll find you can save yourself many hundreds of dollars.
