Re: Should I get a NP2?
Maybe you'd be better with a keyboard designed for home use; something with weighted keys and built in speakers. For half the price.

Re: Should I get a NP2?
Agreed. For significantly less money you can buy a brand new high quality digital piano with speakers. Consider the follow models:
- Yamaha P-515
- Kawai ES8
- Roland FP-60 or FP-90
- Dexibel Vivo P7
All of these models are considered "slab" pianos that can be used at home or at a gig. You can purchase custom stands and pedals for most of them, and still come well under the $2700 for the Nord. And they all sound great.
If you are looking strictly for home use, Roland, Yamaha, Korg, Kawai and Casio all make home oriented digital pianos that look more like furniture, but keep the features of the models above. If you don't plan on ever gigging out, that may be an option to consider. You can find these at music instrument retailers as well as piano centers.

Re: Should I get a NP2?
If you want to save serious money, look at Studiologic's offerings around this. And considering that Nord is now on NP4, that price you mentioned for B-stock NP2 is not really all that great IMO; you can probably find a B-stock NP3 for that or even less, and the NP3 is a big step up from NP2

Re: Should I get a NP2?
All of the above are great suggestions. One of my favorite setups is a Roland FP30 with my Electro 5D73 sitting on top. It is a great setup that I use a lot. I bought the Roland for around $600 USD, and I bought the Nord 5D for around $2000 (can't really remember). A new Electro 6D on top of a low cost DP would be incredibly versatile.

Re: Should I get a NP2?
$2700 for a B-stock Nord Piano 2 is not a "great deal". Go check reverb.com, etc. and you'll see.
I think I have gear issues ....

Shame about the effort wasted on replying to this spammer. Every post of his contains download links to the crap he’s bawking.
