Postby chris29 » 04 Jan 2014, 17:34

where can I find the sample that splits the keyboard into the Vox Continental and Fender Rhodes Bass to reproduce the sounds of The Doors?

You're going to need a Nord Stage for that, I believe… it's actually one of the presets there, too.

Hi,

isn't it possible to have it in .nsmp-format?

Sure, it's possible. Simply record the Vox and Rhodes sounds of your desire to .wav files and then run them through Nord Sample Editor to create your own custom .nsmp file.

Is it possible to use Nord Piano to use Rhodes Bass on left hand and regular rhodes on right?

I would do it on an Electro 5 Split. My preference is the '67 Sparkle Top Rhodes for the Left Hand Bass. It's gutsy and warm. Up top would be Barry Carson's Light My Fire NE from his Vox/Farfisa Library for a very convincing Continental. Instant Ray Manzarek, although he did switch to a more road worthy Gibson G101 for live performance.

*UPDATE* The '67 Sparkle Top has been swapped out for a more modern Rhodes MK I (I think). It's actually a more Bass-like sound for the Manzarek split and a little more solid.
