I'm looking to buy a program change pedal to use with my NS3, and the Boss FS6 comes highly recommended.
However, searching online, I found dual switch pedals at about a fifth of the price (such as this one). Would a cheaper pedal work as well, and what might the disadvantages of it be?
Many thanks for any help!

Re: Alternatives to Boss FS6
You have a very expensive and fantastic keyboard in the Nord Stage 3, so why scrimp and take a chance on a cheap untested pedal? The Boss comes highly recommended because it's reliable, well built and just works. Used for loads of gigs, including the demanding musical theatre environment with no issues. I've added a grippier rubber to stop it moving. Go for it, you won't refret it!

Re: Alternatives to Boss FS6
Hallo !
Is some owner of the stage 3 here who use one of the following footswitches for Programm Change...?
Digitech FS 3X
https://www.thomann.de/de/digitech_fs_3x.htm
or this
DigiTech FS 300
https://www.amazon.de/DigiTech-FS-300-für-Vocalist/dp/B0002GU89K
are they working well with the stage 3 for song up and down???
I've tryed the boss fs7 and this works fine but - I'm not sure about the comfortable handling in a live situation...

What’s wrong with the Boss FS6, to expensive?
I will think you will have trouble hitting the right switch on the Digitech with your feet, and if you hit the wrong switch, you will change the switch direction.

Re: Alternatives to Boss FS6
Boss FS-7 is nice - no batteries needed, compact but still easy to hit the up and the down. I've heard good things about it in a live situation from guitarists who put it in a crowded pedalboard, easy to hit the right direction, no accidental taps. But I haven't personally gigged it. Good enough that it's at the top of my list, though. And rugged.

Ah, bummer. I didn’t know that, on my old single Boss pedal, the battery are only needed for the LED lamp, on this one, the battery are needed for operation

Re: Alternatives to Boss FS6
If I would buy a Latching Dual Pedal from "bright onion pedals" would that work same as a boss FS-6 ??? I tryed a Boss Fs-7 and the only way to change be behavior from latch to momentary was to go in the menu from the stage 3 and change "open" to "closed", the Latch-Switch on the FS-7 did'nt change anything!
