right now I am getting no response from output 3 and 4. I have changed the global settings to 3-4 and run cables to no avail. Am I missing something. I have never tried 3 and 4 since purchasing the nord.

Leslie Sim (Rotary Speaker) of the Nord Stage is definetely switched off, and the output settings are done globally, and not per program?
