DSP message

Postby bagas68 » 01 Sep 2018, 08:09

Hi folks.
In some of my preset programs there is an "E" on white background, in the main display bottom right.
Someone knows what it is? I didn't find anything on the operating manual.

Thnx

The “E” shows up the moment you change any parameter of a saved program. It indicates that you have Edited a program.

This can be as simple as changing the Leslie speed.

I don’t have a NS3 but I guess it means you have “Edited” the program?

mind that even just using a morph is considered a change of the affected parameters, so it is actually an edit (on NS2 it is indicated by the asterisk near the Program name on the display)

You are right if the "E" is top left. In some "saved" programs is bottom right.

If it's bottom right it means that at least one of the Synth section parameters has been Edited (in the current Program).
Even if you save the Program, the 'E' will still be there to indicate the current Synth setup is different to the stored Synth preset that is being used.
This is because, as well as being stored in any Synth presets you create, the Synth parameters are all stored separately as part of the Program too.
The 'E' will go away if you Store Synth; i.e. you save the Synth parameters to a Synth preset and then use that Synth preset 'as is' in the Program.
