RECEIVE MIDI DATA FROM A NORD STAGE 3

Postby drainomap » 21 Aug 2018, 13:34

Hi guys, I would like to know how I can solve a problem:
I just bought an FA 07, which is adding to my setup along with a Nord Stage 3 ..
I would like to be able to pilot the FA07 with the Nord Stage, in practice I want the midi data coming from the North to arrive ...
Before I had managed to talk with my old Jupiter 50 with my required settings, I tried to read the same information on FA 07, but I do not like anything Studio set, maybe I'm doing something wrong, but I do not know what ... North clearly has been dictated as before, so I did not make any changes ... What am I doing wrong?
Just to know:
-Device ID. 17
- Remote keyboard key OFF
- Set Control Channel Studio. 1
- USB MIDI THRU OFF
- Transmission program. Change. OFF
- Select bank TRansmit. OFF
TRansmit Active SEnsing. OFF
- TRansmit Edit data OFF
- Soft Through ON
_ Receive Progr. Change. ABOVE
- Receive Bank Select ON
- Exclusive recreation. ABOVE
- Receive GM System ON ON
- Reset the GM2 system to ON
- Receive Reset ON

I believe each Part within an FA Studio Set has its own MIDI Receive Channel, and you need to make sure the Nord is transmitting on the channel whose specific part you want to trigger (whether globally, or more likely, through an EXT function).

If you want the Nord to trigger the entire Studio Set, change the "Remote Keyboard" parameter to ON (i.e. you want to trigger the entire Roland from a remote keyboard). From the Roland manual:
Remote Keyboard Switch
Turn this "ON" if you’re using an external MIDI keyboard instead of the FA’s keyboard. In this case, the MIDI transmit channel of your external MIDI keyboard does not matter. Normally, this can be left at “OFF.”
