I will be buying the Electro 6 and the optional half moon controller.

Is this a permanent fixture to the keyboard or is it removable so that I can make allowance for space on hard flightcase.

I presume there are some factory holes already in place ?

Only have a 5D so can only check on that one. But yes, there are 3 pre-drilled holes.
I guess 3 of them is to allow for mounting to the far left or somewhat further in towards the middle.

Can't say if it's the exact same on the 6D, or if the HP versions have it.
Someone else surely knows...

The NE6D have two holes on the left side; I assume for mounting this switch.
