I'm not getting volume control of the sample section assigned to Kybd Lo and switch set to CNTRLPED when layered with a Piano in a Program. I get the layered sound, but the pedal doesn't control the volume. FC-7 connected to the NE6 Control Pedal input. When I connect the FC-7 to the ext kybd, an SL Studio it controls the volume of both sounds. Besides I need the pedal to control the organ on the Electro, so I need it connected to the E6.
It's this way on all my Programs assigned to Kybd Lo.
Any ideas?

Re: NE6 Exp Ped Problem
It sounds as if you are in "EXT KBD TO LO" mode and not just having an internal keyboard split? If so, I think this is by design.
The internal keyboard, as well as the control and sutain pedals connected to the NE6, are routed to the NE6 engines only in "normal" mode.
When you change to "EXT KBD TO LO" mode, you are essentially telling the "LO" engine(s) that it should stop listening to the internal keyboard and pedal inputs, and instead react to what you transmit via MIDI from the external keyboard and its controller (on the EXTERNAL KBD MIDI channel).
Think of this as the internally connected pedals working in conjunction with the internal keyboard; they do not stay in "global" mode potentially affecting all engines when they keyboard isn't.
If it had stayed in "global" mode, there is no way you could control the engines independently. There is now.
If you need a global volume control pedal in "EXT KBD TO LO" mode, you need to route the audio through a normal volume pedal instead. Or maybe you can have the SL Studio send out control pedal message on both the normal and the external midi channels at the same time (for the control pedal only, probably not for the sustain pedal)? This way, a control pedal connected to the external keyboard can controll all engines (HI and LO).

Re: NE6 Exp Ped Problem
Ok, thanks for the well written explanation! I was hoping it would work, but who knows maybe Nord will read this and update the firmware to allow it.
