Hey all!
Been having a really frustrating problem last few rehearsals whilst using the nord's filter. I have a track which requires me to sweep the filter up gently to the chorus and then pulling back down for the verse. When opening the filter up my nord has the tendancy to erratically jump up to a much frequency. It is whilst using the nord in sample synthesis with the DX7 string sample. I wonder if its something to do with the filter interacting with other parameters, but my knowledge of synthesis is too limited to work it out!!! If anyone has any ideas would be much appreciated !
Thanks so much,
Finn

Re: Stage 3 - Filter erratically jumping
Could it be that the knob is not at your programmed starting point, so it's jumping to its physical position? Maybe assign that filter sweep to a morph, like your wheel, so it will go smoothly from low point to high point.

Re: Stage 3 - Filter erratically jumping
Just a thought Sunken - for this sort of effect you could always try using the Morph function. Map the filter cutoff to (say) the modulation wheel and then as you advance the mod wheel the filter will open up. This approach will also avoid having to get the cutoff knob in the right place first.

As an extension (assuming the S3 works like the A1), you could use a control pedal to morph the cutoff if you've run out of hands but still have a spare foot.

Hmmm...Did I not say as much a couple posts above yours? Didn't the OP then thank me and say it solved his problem?
