This setting configure the Swell Pedal destination. Set this to Swell if you want this pedal to act as a Swell pedal for the organ, or to Volume if it should control the volume of all the Nord Stage 3 sound engines
Setting to swell , organ only is controlled...to volume none of the 3 engine are controlled ...?
Is this a bug ? any experience ?...or i miss something?
Thanks

Re: NS3 Swell ...?
I have also had challenges with the pedal volume setting, and just re-tested again on your prompting
In volume setting, the pedals doesn't have any effect at all on any sound engine (as far as I can tell)...
From earlier testing, I think it (may) send(s) out volume messages on the MIDI channel, but I think it may not reply on volume either.
It must be a bug -- I've added it to the bug-list (and put you on as well).

Re: NS3 Swell ...?
It's in the manual. Any pedal in the swell slot will only swell the organ. Put it in the control pedal slot and assign it to swell on organ in the menu.

Re: NS3 Swell ...?
Hello
From the NS3 online manual
11 - sWell Pedal TYPe
This setting configures a pedal attached to the ORGAN SWELL jack. see “Ctrl Pedal Type” above for details.
Range: Roland EV7 (default), Yamaha FC-7, Korg, Fatar (and Studiologic)
FUNC (FUNCTioN)
This setting confiure the swell Pedal destination. set this to swell if you want this pedal to act as a swell pedal for the organ, or to volume if it should control the volume of all the Nord stage 3 sound engines.
Range: Swell (Default), Volume
So if the manual is correct, we can use the swell pedal input to control the volume of the ns3 sound engines and it seems that it is not working.
If you use the control pedal input , we can control different parameters via the morph function like volume, etc.
Regards

True, but as @DanielD71 points out, you can change the swell pedal to act as a volume controller that supposedly should control the volume of all sound engines -- which it doesn't. So either the manual is wrong or the implementation is
A work-around is of course to use the control pedal to impact volume via the morph function -- but it's a work-around.

Re: NS3 Swell ...?
The Volume setting should make the Swell Pedal control the general Volume of the NS actually, regardless any morph (not required); if it doesn't work like that it is a bug

Yeah, indeed -- and it should have been working also on the NS3! It was just a proposed work-around for what is clearly a bug

Re: NS3 Swell ...?
I dont get it to work an NS2 either. I want the Control ORthe swell pedal to work as swell for the organ and volume for the other sound Engines. I dont want to have two volvume/swell pedals.
