Hello all.
Namely, I mean the keyboard division in the NORD. How can we share it?
Is it only for three sections of the piano-synth-organ or there is another way of subdivision such as synth - synth. And, of course, how to do it ??
I have an instrument recently and I honestly say I'm green in this topic.
And if there is a user's bank, where you can save the modified colors.
Thank you in advance for your answer.
Regards

Each program can have two panels. Each panel can have a piano, synth, and organ sound. So to split (or layer) two synth sounds, you put one synth sound on each of the two panels, and activate both panels so they are playing simultaneously.

All 400 program locations can be used for user sounds. I think the ones toward the end are empty.

I'm quite surprised you bought this board and don't seem to know much about it, but welcome all the same !
Extern section is to control any external device: another synth, a computer; anything that accepts MIDI.
Just like it's a part of your setup, so you could layer for instance organ with any sound from another device.
You might want to read the manual to get a feel for all the possibilities this board offers.

Re: Please help
Dear Richard
can you tell me how I can avoid that the whole keyboard is sending midi signals to the external section- instead of of only the intended keyboard split Region (KB ZONES 2-3).
Thank you in advance,
Ralph

Re: Please help
Make sure the Send channels you use in the EXT sections (which must match the Receive channels of the devices you are controlling) are different from the Nord's own Global channel.

Re: Please help
@alla_turca: Maybe you have the Global MIDI channel set up also, in which case your keyboard sends multiple MIDI messages if you also enable the Extern setion. On the NS3 you just go to the MIDI Menu, MIDI Settings 2/4 and dial the Global Channel to Off. Then you will only send MIDI messages when you enable Extern. Not sure how it is on your Stage EX, but likely something similar.

Hi,
I'm sorry but I can't...
I actually use my NS3 just for that : on stage.
No MIDI at all.
I'm going to use it eventually as my "music-room" takes shape but there are members here who are *far* more knowledgeable about it so hopefully they can help.
(Just returned from This is ska-festival in Rosslau )
(Edit: should refresh more often, I see other answers already !)

Re: Please help
Thank you, I found the right answer:
Note! Turning the External Section OFF wont prevent the
NS from sending MIDI messages to the Slave if a value is
set in “MIDI Panel A/B Channel” which corresponds to the
receive channel on your Slave. Avoid this by setting the
MIDI Panel A/B Channel to <Off> in the MIDI menu.
