Mark Forster - Chöre (Choere)

Postby Schorsch » 28 May 2018, 14:07

Hi,

I'm looking for the sounds of the song "Chöre" from Mark Forster, especially but not only the one which is kind of "morphed" after the verse (when the backgriudn choir sings "oho oho oho oohh"). Does anyone has created this for the NS3?

Thanks so much!

Best regards, Georg

That’s just a piano through a low-pass filter.

Assign the EQ/amp sim section to the piano and set it to "LP24” — that’s a low pass filter (Tiefpassfilter) with a Q (Flankensteilheit) of 24 dB per octave.

Turn resonance fairly low and cutoff all the way down. As you play the piano pattern, open up the cutoff gradually to let more of the sound come through.

Danke :-) Ich versuch's mal ...

Thanks - will try ....

I think in the Refrain there is also some kind of Harpsichord or something added in the background, will check how to get there.

Not sure if there is a layered sound, or whether that’s just the filter resonance emphasising some of the more metallic overtones of the piano sample.

Also, remember to compress the hell out of this piano (fast attack).

Will do so IF I get there ... haven't had time so far to work on it, just tried a bit but the result is still far from satisfying .. have some time though since I have to play it with my band on an open air in July first time :)

Hi Georg,
my band plays it too . I split the keyboard and assigned the sampled choir (Mark provided that at the end of the studio-take) to the deepest C.
You start it at 1+ (left hand) and play the chords (CP70) with the right one.
Take care, when the trumpets come in, you play other chords then usual... :wtf:
Have fun !
Roland

Hi Roland,

cool, thanks a lot!

Yes know about the other chords in the trumpet section, took me a while to convince our guitar player and bassman about it after I wrote the chords down

Best regards, Georg
