Hi everyone....
I need to set arpeggiator to 142-16" division....I would like to play it "on the fly" on a sequence......moving "rate" knob it goes from 140 straight to 144......no way to set it 142....
if I set master clock to 144 and 16" is fine.......but USELESS......as with master clock on , there is a random latency on key's hit and is impossible to play on time....
Any way to set EXACT BPM ARPEGGIATOR without master clock? ( or to make possible arpeggiator stars exactly on key's hit with master clock on....)
Thanx

Re: ARPEGGIATOR AND BPM
How have you set up your master clock keyboard sync (shift-clock button, then press soft button 4 to dial through the settings)? If should be set to on, if you want it to retrigger every time you hit a key (but only while no other keys are held down)? The other settings (off, soft) are for different purposes -- I think soft can be quite useful in many situations, if you want to stay tight to a beat already started but still want to have the option to "back off" and restart the sequence again.

Hi baekgaard.

I have Nord Stage 2 EX....cannot go thru master clock settings...don't see them....
maybe you're talking about NS 3 ?

Re: ARPEGGIATOR AND BPM
You're right, I was assuming the NS3, where it works fine (here at least). I read the main text of your message and the header, and you didn't say anything about which device, so I obviously made an incorrect assumption
I guess I could suggest you would upgrade to the NS3 to fix this problem then... but maybe someone with a NS2* have a cheaper way of fixing the problem.

eheh....true....
I founded a cheaper way....I played it live....
was fast but playable....
I'll write Nord to check if there is a solution....

Re: ARPEGGIATOR AND BPM
The problem is not any “random latency” but the way the sync between the Master Clock an the keys is implemented on the NS2

Re: ARPEGGIATOR AND BPM
True but this tourns up as a random latency!! I mean....is not playable...the way arpeggiator starts on key hit , with master clock on , is always different...
so is useless...
so is useless...
