External Keyboard to LOW Electro 6 new feature ?

Post by Diyoer »

Hi
Is the "External Keyboard to LOW" a new Electro 6 function? So not available in Nord Electro 5?
Thanks

The 5 actually has more MIDI functionality than the 6, but this functionality exists on both, under different names. The feature allows you to to trigger an internal sound from an external keyboard (i.e. 2nd organ manual, or piano from an external board while playing organ/synth from its own keys). The 5 could do that using MIDI Upper Receive mode. The function needed a new name/implementation on the 6 because of the different architecture. On the 5, the word "Upper" refers to the Nord part that is being triggered. The 6 is no longer built around the concept of an Upper part and a Lower part. The "LO" of the new name probably refers to the more common physical location of the board you are attaching (usually underneath the Electro).
