Nord Electro 6 U.S. Release?

Post by thegentile »

anyone have any information trickling down from distributors or other channels that might give me an idea when i can pick up the new NE? (i know the official word is spring/summer.)

i was about to pull the trigger on the NE5 and then this was announced... the new features really appeal to me. so i've just sort of been sitting in limbo sans-electro until they start putting them out in the states.

i'm getting anxious! much thanks.

it is kind of ridiculous that given they are shipping in europe, that they can’t give a release date for the usa.
i have not seen one though.

You sure about that? I'm not seeing a price for the 6 on that page, or any published page of theirs... yet...?

Hi Guys, So I ordered one from gear4music in England for 2k delivered until I found out they ran on 220. So I did pre order from Sweetwater which the rep Pablo Mastadon recommended as they stand behind their stuff better than most retailers. I did hear it would be released in 3-4 weeks, but I am trying to get updates. I too am waiting for it. In any event, I am looking forward to dumping my 88 key 55lb rolands and walking to gigs with a 20lb sack on my back. I wonder if you guys can recommend any tutorials so I can get up to speed on how to best use this fine unit.

Mine arrived yesterday. It will blow you way. I just wrote the guys in my band. I am using the Roland 700 series, about 2 years old. The synth will blow you away, the strings, the pianos, the e pianos. Even the steel guitar. I thought it would be weak on synth, but no, it is incredible. I hope our PA will pick up what this unit can pump out. But suffice it to say, you won't be disappointed. I did buy the case but have not looked at it yet. I am sure it is fine. I got this to lighten my load as my back can't shlep that old 54lb Roland anymore. I need to learn how to use it now as there is a learning curve and I am not a detail guy. But with 1 hour and the instructions I found my way around. I bought mine from Brian at Sweetwater who was terrific. He called along the way and gave me updates. Anyway, good luck. Two thumbs way up.
