If you set it as volume it cannot work as CTRL Pedal at the same time, check your System Menu settings

Re: Nord Stage 2 - Expression Pedal and Organ Swell
I'm sorry, I wasn't very clear. Plugged into the main in and out of the Stage into the main in and out of the pedal, everything works fine. But once I try to use the "expression" slot on the pedal into the "ctrl pedal" on the stage, I have nothing. When I plug into the "organ swell" the volume drops a ton and still doesn't respond to the pedal. In the Stage settings, I have the pedal type set to "Roland" and ctrl pedal to "use as swell." As far as I can tell, I've done everything right. I want to know if I'm missing something before I try to send back a new pedal.

The volume configuration is different than the CTRL one.
For expression, you should use a TRS cable (stereo cable, not the same as the one you use for the line out [which is mono]) and then set a morph destination in the synth accordingly. Have you done the last part?
Do you have a tester? If so you can check what is going on at the end of the TRS plug.

I am using a trs cable, but I don't have a tester. I'll try a different cable and hope it works.

Anyone has the BOSS EV 3 working with the stage 2 or Electro 5d?
