Nord Electro 4 still in stock??
Hello!I found a site that has Nord Electro 4 on their website in a brand new condition.I e-mailed them to confirm if it's true or it's just an old post , but they confirmed that they still have it in stock. How is this possible? As i remember , it is discontinued since 2014.Is it possible to have it in stock for 4+ years and how brand new can it be after all these years?Site seems to be well-trusted , i am just afraid of the condition of the instrument after all these years. What's your opinions?Would you buy it?

Hey! I wont buy it - if you really want to buy this E4, i would maybe try to get the serial number of this device from the seller and ask clavia, if they can confirm, that they had shipped this board to that dealer ... but ... not really

It is possble for a dealer to have old unsold inventory. Is it still factory sealed in its original box? If so, the condition should be fine.

If they give you a good deal, just buy it - they should also give you the 2-year EU guarantee. A dealer can very easily be stuck with items that don't sell as well as they may have anticipated and than it only becomes harder as newer items come out.

+1 on anotherscott and Arjan P, if that's the model you want and the price is competitive, you can go for it.

Re: Nord Electro 4 still in stock??
If I could buy a used Electro 5 over a new Electro 4 (even with its warranty), I would rather have the used Electro 5 even if they were selling for the same price. The Electro 5 has 1GB of piano memory vs. the 380MB found in the 73-key versions of the Electro 4, and the Electro 5 provides one split as compared to no splits for the Electro 4.

In 2011, I bought an new old stock Moog MF104Z. They were made in 2005. So it's totally possible!

Ok thank you guys for the answers!Well i know the specs of each instrument , i just prefer the 4th generation! ( maybe it's only me! ). I had the Nord Electro 4 sw 73 and now the 5 but i prefered the clavinet, the led drawbars and the simplicity of Nord electro 4.Just my preference , that's why i am looking for it again!

Re: Nord Electro 4 still in stock??
I understand the attraction to the LED drawbars, in that when I change a program they always show the current settings, and have less risk of being physically harmed if the board is mishandled. I would think there are people selling used Electro 4 boards, because of the upgrades available in the Electro 5 and Stage 3.

I'm in the same boat
I started with a NE3 73, changed for a NE4 61 for space and weight reasons mainly. The physical drawbars were also in the equation, but I've realized I don't play them that much, I could live with LEDs.
If the NE2 had Mellotron capabilities, I think I would even go back to it.
