using Australian Nord Electro in the US - power supply

Postby sjbmusic » 25 Apr 2018, 04:55

Hi all! New to the forum here. I've had a nord stage 2 for about 6 years and just decided to switch to the elctro 4 hp and have a general question.

I bought the electro 4 and it's shipping to me in the US from Australia but it seems that there is a different power supply for the Australian version. I don't know much about power/voltage/wattage/etc. and am curious what I need to do to make this work for me in the US without blowing a fuse or damaging the instrument in any way. What's the best way to go about this?

My new keyboard looks like it's a 230V- 25W 50/60Hz Fuse T 125mA L 250V (whatever that means). and looks like this

Any suggestions to make it work in the US? Thanks guys!

Welcome SJB! Other guys will likely know more, but you will need a step down voltage converter and a plug adapter. Ozzies have a higher voltage like 230v compared to 120 here. Different plug too. cheers!

You may have an issue with your fuse being the incorrect one for this voltage also. I'd contact Nord support and ask them for advice.
