Les Paul/Classic Rock guitar samples??
I need to play some lead harmonies on my Nord Stage 3 along with our lead guitar player. Can someone please point me to some good classic rock guitar samples? Les Paul? Thx!

Re: Les Paul/Classic Rock guitar samples??
There are a few guitar presets already in the Stage 3, including a Les Paul. The sample (140 Les Paul Neck Mic) on its own isn't terribly inspiring, but if you run it through the amp and effects sections, you can get a pretty reasonable lead guitar. The twin reverb amp, lots of drive, some delay and reverb and it sounds great. I use this along with the guitarist in my band when doing stuff that needs 2 guitars and it works really well. The thing about a lot of the patches/samples on the Nord Stage 3 is that they need a bit of tweaking to improve them. Well worth spending the time tho!

For lead, yes, but for Rhythm stuff, I never found any guitar sample that was great.... well, it all goes with the strumming I guess...

Agreed, it's rather tricky trying to play chords and riffs like a guitarist, but in Rock music with a bit of practice playing mainly open 5ths, you can sound ok sitting underneath the lead guitar. Among other things, I play in a Glam Rock tribute with only one guitarist. Quite often the music we play calls for 2 guitars and I think it sounds ok. Took a while and rehearsed a lot with just the guitarist until it clicked. True, it'll never stack up on its own, but can be surprising!

Yes, I had to do it few times as both my two bands have only one guitar and it was ok, I agree....
But I would rather be just ok with one guitarist only on songs requesting two than with two guitarists because I was in Bands with two guitarists and the ego being what it is with a lot of them, the "Loud war/It's me the hero" has never left any room for any keys...

Thanks solmaster! I had not seen that Les Paul sample and that will do well enough for what I need - I appreciate the help!
