MP3 do not play on iOS anymore

sorry to hear that. Not owning a AAPL device cannot easily test. Are there any specific error msg you could identify?
THe software used is this one: https://github.com/scottschiller/SoundManager2
Opened an issue, let's see if the original main developer still checks it occasionally.
Else will consider an alternative.

thanks a lot! There is actually no error message at all, and the mp3player shows the “playing” icon when clicking on it, there is just no sound

One possible workaround (iPadOS 15.1 AND iOS 15.1)
Do a long press on the mp3 link, and choose ‘Download’. Once fully downloaded, it will play just fine, outside the browser of course.

none of the MP3 files can be played with the embedded mp3 player anymore from within the browers, and the problem is with all iOS browsers on my devices (iPad, iPhone) since the release of iOS 15 and iPadOS 15. Looks like Apple made some changes in WebKit which is the base for all browsers running on iOS

The strange this is, that the example players on this page are actually playing/working.
