Looking for a Pianist for my wedding

Post by huver »

Hi there, I hope you can help me. My wife and me gonna marry this year in summer.

I'm looking for a pianist to play "Love Me Like You Do" on the piano as we walk down the aisle, one option is of course to hire a professional pianist who is experienced in playing wedding music. I already know that many professional pianists have a repertoire of popular wedding songs that they can play, and they may be able to learn a specific song like "Love Me Like You Do" if you request it in advance, but my wife wants a special version of it to be played that you can find here: https://pianoholic.co/love-me-like-you-do-piano

Do you have an idea how to get the sheet music for this track? Another option is to ask a friend or family member who is a skilled pianist if they would be willing to play the song for our wedding, but they said it's to complex ( unfortunately I can't play the piano). I'm willing to pay the full cost of hiring a professional pianist but I need ideas about how to get the sheet music.

Thank you!

look up the local musicians union in your area and you'll find plenty of pianists you can hire that would be able to play this song the way your wife would like it played.

Thanks cgrafx. Unfortunately I live in a small village and the few pianists that are here don't have the software to create the piano sheet for this song and they need it to play it. I thought I could do it online and then use this sheet music. Maybe I need to wait for better software that can create the sheet score by just listening to the audio file. Anyways, thanks for the help.

What's the name of that online micro-job platform? There is a bunch of musicians who will write the sheet music for you from an audio file for a handful of $$. No need for local contacts.

EDIT: I meant fiverr.

How about just using the already recorded music rather than a pianist?

I rather want to having it live played by a pianist, it's just a different atmosphere then playing the recorded music. but the idea with fiverr by Fziegler is good, I will give this a try. :yourock:

I agree - played live is the most romantic and emotional atmosphere for an event like a wedding.

Send me a return flight ticket from/to Frankfurt with 10 days in between, and I‘ll play it free for you. Plus one or two hours fine dinner music in addition.

Cheers from Germany
