Oh my god!!! You guys have great studio's.

Uhm... I don't have a studio. But there are big plans for it. But it may take some time as my NS2 is the first part of the studio. Monitors, Apple MB Pro and a descent desk are to be followed ;-)

You have a very well organized workspace. Your nord appears to be frequently on the move "as it should be".
Your view is more urban than mine, it's interesting how different our environments are, yet we have such common ground in our music and experiences.

I don't think the studio part is absolute, just a pic of your environment.

Well done!
At first glance I thought: "MOUNTAINS? REALLY, MOUNTAINS!"
I used to have a summer home in West Virginia with mountains, there is nothing like that here in Florida. :(
I can assume that by using GIMP that you are a 'nux fan?
I'm a long time linux user. My favorite distro is FreeBSD.
Although I find that the 'buntu distros have done great things by making linux accessible to the average computer user.
Thanks for sharing. :thanx:
Cheers, Hanon

Hello

Mountains !!! I'd like to have a studio in a wooden made house with a large window facing a mountain landscape.
This was the only pic I had on my phone, taken when I received my NS, and the window / pane was closed !
Normally you would only see some grass, I live in a flat & green countryside :D

My favourite distrib is "slackware", that was on floppy disks, ... time passes so quickly !!
I use Ubuntu (server, workstation) at work now.
You're right, I enjoy using bash & vi.
I think open source is a great example of what people can do together.
When I move from one computer to another, I keep the same habits : Gimp, Inkscape, Blender, OpenOffice, Audacity, Songbird ...
For the DAW, I use Ableton, it is not free, but its simple and it works on osx and win.
My vst plugins work on both. I switch a lot between win (disaster) and osx (relief) for music.
Synthesia is a nice game (not free but quite cheap) that I use on both win & osx too.

Thanks Hannon! The Nord has been out on tour all summer... here it is back in the office just to vent out some damp after a hot night.
As you say it's very interesting thinking about how close we really are even though we live and work in completely different environments.

Cheers, Olaf
