Hallo,
i understand that running this forum require time, and some money, so i can understand the fact that some ads can be added to the Forum.
But at the moment, the forum is unusable for me: in the threads, the space taken by flashy ads is bigger than the space taken by the text, and this make the thread not readable.
Of course, whoever manage the forum, i do respect your choice. But i'll not read the forum anymore if the experience is unpleasant.
Maurizio

I'm not sure what are you talking about, but for me there is no ads at all (even if I turn off my ad Blocker...)

Ciao Maurizio,
there are two ways to live with it:
1. after I started seeing this forum as a great amendment to all I had before, filled with good stuff by enthusiastic people almost every day, it was much easier for me to accept the need for money
2. after I found the DONATE link at the bottom of the page which showed me the possibility to omit all ads by spending ca. 10 € a year I was lucky because it makes me feel support the existence of the forum in the long run.
Sunny regards from Germany

Re: Ads on the forum ?
There are no ads on the forum. You do not have to donate to remove ads. Donation is simply to help support the site but has no affect on ads (because there aren't any).
If you're seeing ads, the your system or your browser has been hacked.

Re: Ads on the forum ?
Don‘t know whether it’s different between Europe and the US, but here there are ads. Sometimes more, sometimes less, right now some very large ones. I see them only when I‘m not logged in.
Cheers

Re: Ads on the forum ?
I am in Europe and I see no ads, so I suggest to check your browser as cgfax suggested...

Re: Ads on the forum ?
Supposedly, this is the point:
So, set up your browser in order to log you in automatically - check the [keep me logged in]-button or the like! Then you'll have to log in once a month or so and won't see any ads.
A few days ago, I had a look into the forum from another computer, and indeed, there were a few ads. Much more elsewhere, though.

Re: Ads on the forum ?
Never saw any ads... may it be that they are added by the browser and not by the forum itself?

Re: Ads on the forum ?
I see ads, large and many, when not logged in, no ads when logged in, as Tasten-Bert said.
