Making your own violins (Or any musical instrument) has always been one of my dreams I guess.
Apparently with this technology called 3d Printing, you can actually do that. Best part, you don't have to be a trig expert.
You do need a fused deposition modeling printer or something of that nature.
Has anyone tried this. Love to get involved. I even found actual files that you can upload to these special printers and out pops a working instrument.
Sure hope it's something real as I'm still awaiting my hover board

I am in a project now where we contacted a professional and large 3D shop ... but they advised us to stay on the traditional production path.
And environmental requirements and size were not the problem. And it's a very low volume product (traffic alarm-ish outdoors).
