3d printed musical instruments?

Postby Poliky » 20 Sep 2016, 21:20

Making your own violins (Or any musical instrument) has always been one of my dreams I guess.

Apparently with this technology called 3d Printing, you can actually do that. Best part, you don't have to be a trig expert.

You do need a fused deposition modeling printer or something of that nature.

Has anyone tried this. Love to get involved. I even found actual files that you can upload to these special printers and out pops a working instrument.

Sure hope it's something real as I'm still awaiting my hover board :)

Hej Poliky!

Well ... for now, parts of instruments can be made ... :?

... and there are still many popular myths ... :ugeek:

I am in a project now where we contacted a professional and large 3D shop ... but they advised us to stay on the traditional production path.
And environmental requirements and size were not the problem. And it's a very low volume product (traffic alarm-ish outdoors). :(
