nw2 as master keyboard and nla1 replacement?

Hi,
I have a korg trinity and nla1, I plan on using the korg as master keyboard and love the nla1 for its sounds, but can’t stand the keybed and lack of a display makes it hard to use it.

If I was to sell both and get a nw2, what would I miss?
can it work well as master keyboard if I then wanted to buy additional racks?
do sounds stop when changing presets? do sounds blend in splits like the stage?
Is the arpeggiator the same as what in the stage4?
Are synth piano and organs from the library usable if necessary?
ps I owned an electro 5d61 for a little while and loved the keybed, so I’m sure i’d like the nw2 keybed.

I owned a NLA1 and unfortunately sold it. To me it sounds way better than the NW2.

One thing you may consider, if you want to use it as a master keyboard. You cannot permanently disable midi local control. If you turn NW2 off and on local control is enabled again. But this is a usual behaviour for all nord keyboards I believe.

I owned a NLA1 and unfortunately sold it. To me it sounds way better than the NW2.

In what way would you describe that the A1 sounds better than the Wave 2?
I’m actually thinking of switching from the A1 to the NW2 because of the display, the keybed and the aftertouch.

I also really love the sound of the A1, especially its "analog" section sounds more raw as compared e.g. to the "A1 light" in the Stage 3.
But I would be interested in your opinion and experience.

Same here, but the price right now is astronomical, I would need to sell my A1 and other gear before pulling the trigger.
I'm sure with enough effort we could have an IOS app to act as a Display for the A1. The Aftertouch and Keybed are indeed an issue.

It is exactly what you describe. The A1 is more aggressive. The NW2 and thus the synth section of the NS4 sounds too tame to me. I sold the A1 as I used as my 2nd keyboard above my NS2EX which I also changes to a NS4. The A1 was lacking 1 octave of keys and I didn‘t like the keybed. I have now a NE6 witz waterfall keys as my 2nd keyboard but I only use it as a MIDI keyboard. From sound perspective I miss the A1.

It would be extremely helpful if we would have a simple app just for showing clear text program names. For me this is the most missing feature of the A1. I can arrange myself with the keybed but it’s such a pity to have hundreds of own sounds that you can only find or remember with the help of a separate list.

I think the NW2 can sound as aggressive as you want if you know how to coax that type of sound out of it. Have you heard the Blush Response patches on the Nord site? There also is this video, which blew me away-
