Hi everyone, this is my first topic here.

I've had some software issues with my Nord Wave after not using it for a few months, it's not functioning anymore. I've found some related topics on this forum (here, here and here), but none of them seems to have been solved... I have sent a message to the Nord Technical Support, hoping to get an answer.

In case some of you might have a solution or idea :idea: for me, I copied below the message that I sent to the Technical Support.

Hello,

I have contacted you earlier for a problem of factory restore stuck in progress. It seems that my problem was bigger than that. I have stopped the program while running (there was no other choice). Then I have made other tests that I describe below. My conclusion is that my Nord Wave is having software issues that are far beyond my abilities, and that the only way to have it working again would be to send it to a professional repair center. Here are the tests I made, anyway:

- When I turn on the Nord Wave keyboard, it seems to have lost the OS update that I did before turning it off.

- When turned on, the Nord Wave digital screen shows successively these three messages:
1. "Nord Wave
HwRev 1.0-2.0"
2. "Nord Wave
Invalid CAB hdr"
3. "Update mode
ready"

- Then, when I connect the Nord Wave to my MacBook Air through usb, and open the file "Update Nord Wave OS v2.14.dmg", I get this message: "Connected, but unable to get TP version and build.". I can however continue and press "Update", which runs successfully.

- I can then open Nord Sound Manager. There, I see that "Samp Lib", "Program", and "SWave" are empty, except for two samples that I was able to download to the keyboard earlier.

- With my first early try to do a full restore, I got stuck in the process, with estimated time going up with no limitation (it got up to more than 5000 minutes, after 4 or 5 hours running the restoreā€¦). Therefore, I tried to add factory samples one by one. I was able to add "FndJazzPlectrum_Direct_CLv4.nsmp", "FndJazz Finger_Dir _STv4.nsmp", "PersianSantur__ste PSv4.nsmp", "CathedralOrgan5__ste SRv4.nsmp", one by one, and then when I tried adding another sample "CathedralOrgan3__ste SRv4.nsmp", I got stuck again in the process. The estimated time showed on the Nord Sound Manager kept increasing starting at 2 minutes and then going to 3, 4, 5... 9, 10 minutes without stopping. Both the Nord Sound Manager and the Nord Wave digital panel were showing the message "Cleaning..." when this happened. When the estimated time reached 15 minutes and I was still stuck in progress, I decided to close Nord Sound Manager. When reopening, I found only two samples, one Fender Jazz Dir and one Persian Santur, and two other samples that were corrupted. I decided to erase them, but the Nord Sound Manager closed unexpectedly. When I reopened it, I had three valid samples and not two, plus one invalid sample that I could erase...

- I decided to stop there with the Nord Sound Manager and disconnect the usb port. I could then see that my Nord Wave seemed to be working, although there were no program, no waves, AND no samples (while I thought I successfully added at least two). All the buttons and knobs seem to be functionning. I could play a little bit with some simple triangular or square oscillators + effects. However that is all my Nord Wave could do.

- I tried to store a program on my Nord Wave, and the digital screen said:
"Failed to store!
Errore code: 12"

- I turned my Nord Wave off. When turned on back again, it showed these messages:
1. "Nord Wave
HwRev 1.0-2.0"
2. "Nord Wave
Invalid OS"
3. "Update mode
ready"

I have now decided to stop my experiments. I hope that you can help me finding a skillful person who could restore my Nord Wave keyboard to the way it was, and that I'll have a wonderful time playing it again.

Happened the same with my Nord Stage 2 EX, few weeks ago... I don't know what I can do..
Anyone can tell me how can we solve this? I can't even play my Nord in standalone...
