Nord Wave Random Pitch Readjustment

Postby Deevz » 16 May 2012, 03:46

Hi guys,

I thought I'd come here and see if anyone else is expereincing "Nord Wave Random Pitch Readjustment" occuring immediately after power up.

I've had my Wave since 2007 and this has happened about 5 times since I've had it. The first time it happend was at a gig and I had 'no idea' what was going on basically every sound had "pitched down an octave". The only fix was to manually change the pitch back up (at the gig for every stored sound) and then when I got home had to 'restore' from my last back up which fixed the problem. I think it may be something to do with 'power serge' to the unit or similar? I also used all my sample memory space and only have 1MB free, hard to think this might have anything to do with the issue though?

Does anyone know of a permanant fix or if this is a known problem?

ta.

I'm pretty sure someone posted with a similar issue in the past and someone else responded with the cause and how to prevent it. You might need to fo some searching on the Wave sub-forum to find it.

Do you have any equipment connected to the MIDI IN port on the Wave?.

I don't think it had to do with a power surge and I am sure it is not related to the fact you almost filled up your sample memory (which is fine).

I think you were searching in the right section.

Anyway, I think this was the post: nord-wave-forum-f11/midi-note-output-inaccurate-t2015.html
