I’m curious about seamless transitions, as well. Did anyone at NAMM hear about this? No mention on the website. Perhaps it will be in the manual when it comes out.

Thanks for posting this!

I have been listening to all of the new synths, Hydrasynth, Argon, Summit, etc. I have also owned the Access Virus TI2. As I felt about my A1, the Nord VA synths just have a real richness to them that, to my ears, is lacking in almost all of the other offerings. Before this unit ships I believe we will hear even more great sounds. Just a huge sweet spot, rich and detailed. I bet you can get great sounds out of a single layer on this new machine.

Yeah, they’re gorgeous sounding instruments. Love my Moogs and DSIs, but I always have to listen and discern the uses for each individual one. A Nord Stage or synth has turned into an automatic pre-order. The Stage 3 is the most enjoyable performing keyboard I own. Immediate, versatile, so many quick options for fun performances. I expect this will complement it well.

Hi,

First of all many thanks for the long sound demo. What I did not hear so far are the kick drum like sounds that can be created with an A1. Are the filters fast enough to do that?

I can't figure out what they were thinking reducing the LFO section? The LFO section was integral to programming on the original Wave.

This is less of a synth, and more of an oldschool AKAI sampler that is playback-only model.

I guess they thought it would be cheesy to have TWO LFOs for the Nord Wave TWO? But the reduction in routing options? :wtf: THIS MAKES NO SENSE.

IMO, they've been Ikea'ing their keyboards sine they discontinued the Wave and Modular. It's like they stopped taking acid when they should have kept going.

Here's to hoping a new modular is on the way...

With reference to the images on Nords homepage, the mod env is still there, just placed above the osc section instead. It's not like two lfo and the mod env has been reduced to only one lfo, as the images may allude too otherwise.

You didn't say so in the text, so this is just to point out to anyone mainly comparing the images.
