Cool, understood. can't wait to hear more demos. It will be a while before we get them, my guess is Europe will be the first shipments.

I have about a dozen of his records in vinyl.

Sweet. I once played in a bar band that did quite a few Zappa tunes... Titties and Beer (I was the Devil, mask and all), Joe's Garage... fun times.

I believe I heard deliveries beginning in March (it was mentioned in one of the NAMM videos). I could be mistaken. But yeah, likely Europe first. Oh well, we get Moogs and Sequentials first, so fair is fair.

Awesome! sounds like a lot of fun.

My guess is that they will get to Europe in March and USA in June-

That sounds like a really good guess. As I was pre-ordering, I asked my retailer of choice when he thought it would ship, and he quietly squeeked out "June".... oh well.

My retailer in the states stated they expect their first shipment in mid-March. I guess time will tell.

Yes, and many things like Arpeggiation I have already set up with my Wave 1 with external devices.

My dream Nord Wave 2 would be a combination of the Nord Wave and the Nord Modular

running 4x stereo wav samples could be cool though,

They Have not really showed off what I hoped it would be capable of,or maybe their choice of sounds made to showcase it seem rather lacklustre, its one thing to showcase a new string sample set, which I can already hear by loading it into my Stage 3 but What can this Wave do besides what we are already aware it can do with regards to sample playback and an additional "Trance" Gate arpeggio, how about showing what it can do in terms of sound creation/Sound mangling from scratch building up layers or lets hear the raw tones of the machine, simply loading a sample and adding some effects isn't really ground breaking.

I had great expectations from reading the Specs so Guess I will have to wait till I've had the chance to demo it and program it in person for a more subjective view on it,certainly as a four part layerable Wave, the sounds they've used have seemed rather bland and unispiring,Personally think Nord need to up the game with the people they use to promote the synths these days.

:wtf:

I never think the early demos for an instrument give any indication of what it is capable of. You really need to get into the guts and start programming, and I am sure that there will be a lot of that before the keyboard ships. I think the sonic possibilities of this instrument have yet to be discovered.

When I got my Stage 3 in June of 2017, I deleted all of the factory patches, as none of them were anything I couldn't easily recreate, and I had to program all of my Stage 2 patches from scratch anyway. I think I have only about 140 custom programs two years later. As I learned the Stage 3, I found it surprising me in its capabilities, especially in the synth area.

I pre-ordered the Wave2 and am confident with the 4-slot architecture with any of the synth engines assignable to any slot (Virtual Analog, FM, Samples, Wave tables), along with the arpeggiator and effects that this unit will have lots of potential for my needs.
