Morphing External Gear via MIDI?
I was looking at the MIDI CC list in the Wave2 manual and didn't see anything listed for performance controllers (minus pedal,) so this got me thinking. If you assign a morph to mod wheel and aftertouch, what do these performance controls send out? Do they actually send the morph CC's or generic mod wheel (cc1) and aftertouch data? If they send the morph CC's that are assigned to that controller, this could be a huge amount of fun in some situations I can think of.

They send out their original MIDI CC or message (MW=CC1, AT = Channel Pressure, which is not a CC), the morphing is handled only internally by the sound engine.
PS: on the NordStage only you can still remap the CC that those controllers send out with a little trick, which involves using the Extern Section i.e. creating a (MW or AT or CtrlPed) morph on the Extern MIDI CC, which is freely assignable.

Re: Morphing External Gear via MIDI?
Thanks, that will still be fine, just thought it could be fun to remap but in reality I think sending default values is better.
How is the velocity response of the Wave's keyboard when playing external gear? Internally it can be adjusted with morphing, but externally it seems there would just be one curve and no way to adjust it.
To clarify, my use case is to pair the Wave2 with a GSI Gemini, as they compliment each other very well -- what one lacks, the other can do and each addresses the complaints I had with the other. I can use external MIDI gear to toggle sending of MIDI data to the Gemini, so that is not a problem, and the Gemini can have custom MIDI CC's mapped to the Nord's controls.
