Sitar (for Signed, Sealed, Delivered, of course...)
Attached is my first attempt at creating a sampled instrument. Since I do a lot of Motown show-band work, having a sitar is important (for one very important song). I use this as a layer with piano for Signed, Sealed Delivered. I control the volume of the Sitar (aka the synth section) with the controller (aka volume) pedal, and just bring it up on the intro sections (playing the piano & sitar together, which works great to my ears).
This is not a particularly well-crafted sampled instrument, but it does what I need. It was made from just a single wav file that I found online. It appears that Sample Editor automatically picked loop points (which are quite audible). Can I edit these? For this particular instrument I don't much care; the song I use this on does not require sustained sitar notes - I just need the attack and brief "sproing" sound
With the above caveats, I find this quite usable.
Cheers,
John

- Here is a short sample of how I use the Sitar patch. The transitions (especially OUT) are not perfect... but I'm happy with it live. Making and breaking the midi connection to the synth would be cleaner; presumably that would leave the notes ringing when I stop triggering new notes...

Just thought I'd point out that John hasn't visited this forum for 3-1/2 years...he's probably not going to see these responses...
but thanks are deserved anyway, I guess...

Will this sample work on Electro 6D, please?
Cheers,
