Re: Daah falling voice
Dunno if I'll try to make the loops.
There are some convenient "Apply All" function in Nord Sample Editor for that too.
But most of all , I'd like to get the "daaah" (the first nsmp) over the "dooo" when I press the key harder ... but I dont see how to do that without velocity layers ?

Re: Daah falling voice
Nice voice, always wanted to get one like that for the classic Stage (which is next to impossible).
And I agree that for those kinds of sounds, sample switching would be key (I recall the original Motif having an excellent chorus switching between at least three vowels for the choir based on velocity and after touch, really nice!!)
Maybe one way to emulate that kind of "velocity switching" would be to load the two different samples into Slot A and B, then use the velocity sensitivity and the filter with very hard response and set the two panels very different (that should work pretty well with the Multi Mode Filter of the NS2) and then see if you get somewhere? Alternatively, just load both samplesets without and editing into the two slots, and morph the relative volumes e.g., by after touch.
Might work as a workaround but probably needs quite some trial and error.
Great samplesets anyway, thanks!
Regarding webspace etc., don't worry it is no (not anymore) a problem, so no reason to delete etc., and you never know what over people do and find useful!!

Re: Daah falling voice
Thank you for your help. I'm trying that now
- got "dooo" on slot A
- "daaa" on slol B with :
- "freq" at the min value
- "freq mod 2" at 10 (max) toward "vel"
Despite those extrem settings (max and min) , "daa" (slot B) is still too loud.
That makes it hearable all the time, too early in velocity.
I tried lowering the volume, but it needs to be loud when pressing the keyboard harder.
Aftertouch does its job, it triggers only when you press harder after a first "hit".
So I do not get the attack of the "daaa".
Not easy to play this sound like that.
Morphing the wheel to lower the volume of slot A (dooo) and increase the volume of slot B (daaa) ... : that works
That keyboard is GREAT and diserves just a "little" upgrade : 4 slots (instead of 2), and velocity layers in the synth (sampler) part
Meanwhile I really a need an expression pedal ...

Re: Daah falling voice
Too bad there's no velocity morphing like there is on the Wave. Though really this would be the best use of it, and maybe there's some other way Nord could implement it in a software update, to have a parameter where you specify a "slot split" velocity value, where all MIDI velocities below a specified number trigger slot A, and the higher values trigger slot B.
Meanwhile, if you happen to own another keyboard that does velocity switching, you might be able to use that to trigger the Stage 2 on the different MIDI channels (associated with different slots) based on velocity. For something relatively inexpensive, a Korg Microstation can do velocity switching, it might do the trick, and it's a fun little keyboard in its own right...

+1, and also a "slot crossfade" parameter to implement Velocity Xfade

I know this is an old thread, but I will ask anyway....
Any chance of uploading the other "Daaa" sample? (I see the "Dooo" only).
