I was reading the latest updates from the John Melas website (program that is a must have for all Yamaha users) and was happy to see the implementation of more sound formats for import (SF2 and GIG are more than interesting, as well as MP3-likes). http://www.jmelas.gr/montage/wave.php
I really would like Nord to have more than the only WAV 44.1K 16-bit format import in the Nord Sample Editor.
MP3, AIFF, FLAC and others can be converted easily (I use Format Factory), but the GIG and the SF2/SFZ are a bit more tricky to convert but are usually single layered, therefore perfect for nsmp structure (for info, I use Polyphone for SF2 and this works fine).
I don't know the amount of work to implement this feature but surely this could be a real plus !
