Re: Splits and bass, synth samples (video)
Hello teclatommy,
that is indeed a very good idea, thank you very much. My weekend will be filled with trying your sounds. Great!
If I could place a wish for your next projects: Toto‘s Africa, in particular the brass, the marimba and the solo synth, if you could get these all in one file, that would be more than great.
Anyway, thanks again. Cheers from Germany

Hello teclatommy, thank you for making these available to the Forum. It would be really helpful if you had time to put a MP3 out there with quick examples of each. Thanks again.

Hi WannitBad and Bert,
After installing Tom's presets onto you Nord's, did you apply any FX or EQ (using the Nord's onboard facilities), please? Or did you leave them all 'dry'?
Ta,
Paul

Re: Splits and bass, synth samples (video)
Hi folks,
I downloaded Tom's excellent presets earlier this week, installing them onto my Nord Electro 6D.
In Tom's You Tube video one can clearly see and hear he has applied FX and EQ to most of the presets. However, in their default 'download' state, the presets are completely dry and free of EQ. And so I can only assume that any aspects of the presets, other than the raw patch data, are not carried over in the transferring process?
Personally, I feel Tom's FX and EQ settings add a great deal to the (already very good!) presets; hence I would very much like to apply these same (ambience) settings on my own instrument.
I intended to maximize the view of Tom's You Tube video and try to copy the settings that way (ie. via 'sight'). However, my eyesight is not what it once was 40 years ago! Also, Tom is playing an Electro 5, so I don't actually know if it has the same range of parameters, or if his features additional features such as after-touch?
Many thanks in advance for any kind assistance offered here . . .
Best,
Paul David Seaman

Re: Splits and bass, synth samples (video)
Original .nsmp format did not include any setting apart the few parameters for NE3 Sample synth (if set) and also today the newest formats 3 and 4 are the same (though the default parameters settings for sample synth have been extended), so a .nsmp basically has just the waveforms and their keyboard mapping and loop points definition.
You have to work out the FX and any other customization yourself.
Anyway reproducing what the OP did on his NE5 on your NE6 should not be too difficult.

Hi there Max,
Many thanks, I really appreciate your help.
OK, I understand now.
In the meantime I have been trying to source an ultra-clear image of an Electro 5. So something in 1080p resolution, or higher. And then be able to zoom-in on it if required. But I don't seem to be locate any of such quality - hence they 'blur' as you zoom-in.

Hi,
Can anyone source an ultra clear PNG of an Electro 5 panel so that I can magnify and emulate the settings if required?
Much appreciated,
Paul
