I hope my question belongs here. I'm trying to make a sample an old Hohner Bass3 Bass Synth to be able to play it on my Nord Wave. I did this before with other sounds using the Nord Sample Editor but with this bass samples I hear a massive sound quality loss as soon as I load them into the NSE. I recorded the samples in different sample rates, tried all kinds of different bit rates, mono, stereo, different levels but the problem remains the same. It sounds bit-crushed. Anyone ever had this problem and knows how to fix it? Is there a way to set the compression of the .nsmp files up or down? Maybe I accidentally changed the settings but can't find anything but a volume button.
I attached two files before and after the NSE.

Hello!
I`m new Nord user and I can`t understand how sampling works on NE6.
Is Sample Editor 7.44 converting .nsmp to .nsmp3 automatically?
Nord OS updated to latest version and NSM 7.44 installed.
When I try to upload .nsmp file to Nord I see error message about not supported file extension.
The sample editor works fine. It won't drive the stage 3 directly, you have to use the sound manager which automatically converts the .nsmp files to nsmp3.

I wouldn't mind the ability to modify / reverse engineer / layer and combine Nord Samples to create New ones. Let's say for instance I have Sax Ensemble Sample and a Trumpet Section Sample that I would like to have the Saxes mapped to play on one end of the Keyboard and the Trumpets mapped to play on the other end. You could create some great Layers and Splits that way. At least be able to render them back to Wave files but ultimately the ability to load multiple samples and pick and choose what you like and have it play where you like it.
Hello
I'm trying to use the Nord Sample editor to make a loop in a sample and I can't get the audio player to play to audition the loop. Should I be able to use the audio player in the upper right side to audition my loop points etc?
I'm wondering if there's a way to bypass the 60 second limit imposed by Sample Editor? I play a solo live show and have soundscapes up to 5 minutes that I want to trigger from a stage 2 EX. The 60 second limit is a bit of an issue..

Wrong tool for the job. A keyboard is not the right box for track playback of long samples. You should be looking at something like Ableton Live or a DAW like cubase. You can trigger playback from the Nord.

You may try NSE2 which didn't seem to have that problem. And no need for automatic loop optimization in that case.
