CJ,
there are many nords at ebay, I‘ve just tried to find yours. If you could post the ebay-link here we all could have a look at.
Sunny regards

Re: Nord Hohner NSMP patch compatibility with Nord keyboards
HI, jjburnt,
The original Nord Piano (1) does not play nsmp samples, that (the synth section) was added from the NP2 onwards (with full support for nsmp v2 according to this:
https://www.nordkeyboards.com/products/ ... te-history
By the way. Nsmp samples (like the Hohner N sample) are 1-layer. While you can play them with some degree of velocity sensitivity they are not on the same league as the npno samples (which are multi-layer samples). That being said the Pianet mechanism was not as much velocity sensitive as other electric pianos.

Hi jjburnt,
as it was already written in this thread the Nord Piano dose support nsmp samples from Nord Piano 2 onwards. If the Nord Piano on Ebay is not a Nord Piano 2, 3 or 4 it's incompatible with nsmp samples in general, which includes the Hohner NSAMp sample

Re: nord piano 3 & 4 key weight comparison
I am looking for a Nord piano to use for the EP patches so don't want the keys to be too heavy weighted - I was looking at a second hand Nord piano 3 but price is a bit high and you can buy the piano 4 for not much more cash can anyone tell me if the key weighting is much different between the pano 3 and 4 - I don't want realistic weighted piano keys - I play fast arpeggio's and the EP's such as the Hohner were pretty light weighted

Hi CJ,
I‘m sorry to disappoint you but it seems as if your new question has nothing to do with the original headline of this thread. You would get better results if you post it in the nord piano section.
Good luck and cheers

I am looking for a second hand polyphonic synth - have owned countless synths - Virus access - Roland, Korg - Yamaha - was thinking of buying a Nord lead one or two on Ebay - looking for some advice as to which is the best one to buy - I play in a rock band and I am a decent player so don't need an arpeggiator- I love the paino 4 which I bought last year - great keyboard, thanks for all your help and advice on the Hohner pianet patch - I ended up using it as is- it sounds great
Thanks
John
