When to sell a Stage 3 88

Hello Nord Stage experts! I bought a Stage 3 88 last year at the discounted USA price. I then bought a Stage 4 HA73 because of the portability. I thought I would keep the Stage 3, but I'm realizing that I just don't have the space for both keyboards. I'm wondering if I should wait to sell until the Stage 3 88 is no longer in stock at any online retailer. Sweetwater is out of them, but others still have them. I'm thinking that the best price I can get will be when no one can buy them new anymore. Right now, you can still get one discounted. Once they're gone, the only option will be a Stage 4 which many will not want due to bugs, and compatibility with their sounds, song mode, etc. Would you just sell now and be done with it? Or wait a bit and see what happens?

Seems like we are getting there. I see some brand new NS3 88's sold at $5k+; no major retailers. Just waiting for the used market to adjust accordingly - specifically Reverb. Don't want to have to sell my mint condition board for less than $4k.

I would just sell it now. I don't think waiting until they are not available new anymore won't make that much of a difference. Nord resale value is among the best among instruments, so selling an NS3 88 that is a year old will possibly garner more than a two year old instrument. It could be a while before the inventory is completely gone.

The more time passes, the more there will be new content that's not compatible with NS3. It was recently moved by Clavia to the "legacy" product class. So probably no more OS updates or sound libraries. And we are now still (i think) at the point of S3 being more reliable than S4, because of how new the latter is. And that will change eventually.
(No one asked, but I bought my S3C for 2790€ in late 2019, and could probably sell it for over 3500€ now. But inflation overall was fairly bonkers starting from 2020, so that explains a lot of it.)

Not a single (hu)man on this earth can predict used digital keyboard instrument -market development, so I'd just sell it when someone wants to buy it.

Thanks everyone! Lots of good points were made; gonna sell my year-old NS3 88 now. Bought it from my local Nord authorized dealer just before the NS4 was announced. If it were not for the NS4's single-panel design and layered effects, among other features, I would have kept my NS3.

I sold mine on Reverb. Man, they take a big cut. Overall I got a bit less than expected, and the Reverb hit was more than expected, but, I still pocketed $3200 for my 1 year-old NS3 88, that had a small nick on the side, that I paid $4100 for. Incidentally, I sold it to a person who just won a Grammy! My kids liked that story.
