Wah using control pedal

Post by norduser42 »

Hello!
I'd like to morph the wah effect using a control pedal to get exactly the same behaviour as when I did that on the Electro 5D. On the NS3, I get much less of a "sweep". Does anyone know how to best set up the morph?
Best regards,

Maybe you morphed the wrong knob of the two controlling the wha?

As explained in the manual, use WA-WA effect (not A-WA1/2), set its rate to 0 then set CtrlPed Morph to sweep the Rate from 0 to max.

(Same applies to whatever value range you like, set Rate to the min then use morph to sweep from min to max)

Also check the control pedal TYPE, FUNCTION and GAIN settings in the system menu. This can make a big difference in the behaviour of the pedal.

And some expression pedals have an adjustment knob. Make sure that's set to allow the full range.

Thanks, everyone. Now it works as I'd like it to. Case closed.

If the Wah is used a lot, a variation of the typical approach is using the Auto-Wah function and having the Control Pedal adjust the filter FREQ - it's pretty effective and your foot doesn't get cramps :) Here's an example of Higher Ground posted at nord-stage-3-programs-ns3p-ns3pb-files- ... 15722.html. Take care.
