Using Sound manager between versions of Nord stage
With the latest version of the Nord sound Manager, can I transfer programs created on the Nord stage 2/3 to my old Stage EX?

No, programs cannot be transferred between different generations of Nord Stage as far as I am aware, only between models of the same “family“, which means you can transfer programs between stage and Stage ex (first „family“), between stage2 and stage2 ex (second “family”) but not between for example Stage and Stage2.

Ok bummer. I had heard that the latest version of the sound manager could transfer sounds to a Nord that doesn’t have those sounds. But not between “families”?

You can transfer samples in the previous nsmp format to the new nsmp3 format, but not programs. So if you have sampled something and have the nsmp file, you can convert it and load it into an NS3.
But that's about it for transferring sounds between generations. You cannot even go the other way around.

yes, if you define a sound as being a program you are lost ...
