FIXED - NS3 stuck in update mode - what to do

Second post today - a bit of a "controlled panic" situation occured when I was trying to update my NS3 from 2.54 to 2.62 on Mac 10.14.6

I downloaded the 2.62 from Nord, connected my NS3 via usb. Backed up my programs with Sound Manager (latest version), all went well.
No other usb-connections or hubs. No applications using the connection.
When opening the updater, it says "Rebooting to update mode..."

Then my NS3 reboots, saying "Ready for update" - but nothing happens...It's been 20 minutes now...The progression bar is empty, not moving. The "update"-button is greyed out, and I am tempted to turn off my NS3...

Anybody experienced this? Have done updates many times before, never had a problem.

If nothing has changed within an hour, I'd download the update another time and try again. Maybe with another USB cable.

I read on a Facebook user group that you could quit and restart the updater, which I did now - with success!

But a rather unpleasant bug, I would hate to interrupt the process if it was just the graphics that didn't move...
