Hi! I am about to buy a second hand Nord Stage (standard) 88, and the seller claims the unit has been upgraded to EX. Is this possible, and if so - is the board then a complete EX model?

Re: Upgrade Nord Stage standard to EX
No,
From my understanding of the two instruments, the Stage EX has significant hardware differences from the Classic.
I'm guessing that the seller means that the OS was upgraded to 5.04 which means that it'll load and play the V5 piano library that the EX uses, but hardware wise it only has half the memory, "less pianos and no XL samples".
Please contact Nord for an official opinion on this and post back the reply.

Still a bloody good piece of kit. Lose a couple of the Rhodes, only have 1 and 2, lose the electric grands, lose the harpsichords and you'll have room for a good upright and a couple of grands. Very very good piece of kit.
