I assume the Ivory Touch is simply the surface finish on the keys, presumably mimicking the feel of real ivory?

We piano players normally don't like to talk about the elephant in the room, but there is darkness in the closet of our past.

PS Fun fact, and maybe I'm the last one on the entire forum to know this, but if you start a blank reply, then select some text in a previous post, then press the "Quote button under that post, it automatically quotes just what you selected. Usually I quote the entire post then delete what I don't need, which can be anywhere from nothing to almost everything. (the old, "you-know-how-to-carve-an-elephant?-start-with-a-rock-and-remove-everything-that-doesn't-look-like-an-elephant" approach)

It was only a side note, but I tested the aftertouch to verify: As expected, any "aftertouched" key triggers an active AT setting - even from a non-active zone on the keyboard. However, I didn't notice a stronger/quicker effect while pressing multiple keys: Which is how it should be.

I didn't test the MIDI side, but I'm quite sure, there is no issue in that it would be different from what is transmitted.

Just assume that the Nord keyboards have enhanced standard actions (which doesn't mean entry-level) while the Grand is representing a higher level!

Joao, piano actions are very subjective, so I can only share my personal experience. I found the weighted action on the NS3 quite nice and "piano enjoyable" except for the soft aftertouch strip, which meant I couldn't get a hard bounce on the keys. So the bottom of the action felt mushy to me. I eventually sold it.

The same Fatar action without the aftertouch strip I found more enjoyable. I enjoy playing piano music on the NP4 more than I did the NS3 88. I do not think this is a Nord issue, more of "weighted keyboard action with mushy aftertouch strip is not for me" issue.

The aftertouch strip is now pretty dang hard (newer version of the Stage 3). The mushiness is gone but also that means aftertouch is harder to actuate and accurately modulate.

It is a tradeoff but I prefer the harder keybed landing.

Is the action on the Nord Stage "lighter" or less enjoyable than the Nord Piano 4? I have already tried the NP4 action and it felt amazing but I do not have access to an NS3 to try it out. I am currently interested in buying a Nord Piano 5 but as the price stands currently, I think in the long run a Nord Stage 3 would be a better choice. My only concern is that the action is not heavy enough and "piano enjoyable"! Can someone help me to clarify this matter? Than you!

I had both a Piano 4 and. Nord Grand before selling both or the Stage 3. The keybed is more than adequate. I prefer the lighter keys on the NS3 over the Piano 4 because the Grand Pianos I get to play have lighter actions.

The Nord Grand does have the best action overall but the NS3 is not too far behind for me.

In Germany, we relatively often see that sort of label in internet shops (most of the time in English even if shop language is German) to mark products that aren't totally new - maybe returned items, products with damaged packaging or demonstration models from a store. Usually with full warranty.
