StageEX with Ventilator input switch

Post by TomS »

Hi to all. What input setting ( hi-lo) gives the best results as far as not clipping and getting the best distortion? Thx to all

If the red clipping light comes on, that's bad. You want the distortion to be generated by the DSP functions inside the box, not by overloading the input stage, which is what the red light indicates.

I forget which position is which, and I probably should see if I can pull the button caps off because they always get changed from jostling around in my gig bag. Anyway, in one of those two input switch positions the red light comes on a lot less often at full volume. That's the position to use. If you never see the red light, it probably doesn't much matter.

My gear is buried at the moment, otherwise I'd go look.
