Stage3 iPad editor

Postby eibinger » 09 May 2021, 18:46

Using my Kurzweil Forte7 I can control all functions via an iPad editor.
Does anyone know, whether there is a similar editor for iPad to control the stage3 as well?
I don't want to use MainStage or a software, that sends midi-commands when changing the song.
I would use this in "stack-mode" on stage: lower = Stage3, upper = hammond-organ or electro5d.
Thanks in advance
Thomas

no. there isn't an iPad editor.

Unlike the Forte, the stage3 already has almost all functions directly accessible from the front panel.

I'm not sure I understand what your expecting an iPad editor to do that can't be done with MIDI commands. Can you provide more detail?

The question is quite unclear actually, are you looking for an "editor" (then the answer is no, there isn't any iPad editor for Nords) or rather, since you mention Mainstage, a "setlist manager" (then the answer is "yes", there are many e.g. Camelot Pro, iMidiPatchbay, Setlist Maker, ...)

Thank you very much for your answers. Indeed, I have to specify my problem, sorry!
I want to combine my stage3 and my Hammond xk1 and I try to position the upper-keyboard (hammond) very, very close to the lower-keyboard (stage3).
In this case, I cannot use the knobs and faders of my stage and so I am looking for a possibility to transfer the controls to my ipad (which would be placed above the upper-keyboard.

that would be a midi contoller. there are many ipad options, but i’d start with something like touch OSC which is fully customizable and should give you access to pretty much any control that you need.

keep in mind, if you’ve covered the mod wheel and pitch stick, you will not get that sort of tactile control from your ipad.

Great answer, thank you. I do not need mod wheel and pitch stick.
