The replacement Pitchstick failed last night after only eleven months.
This will be the last time I replace it.If I am charged 150 for the part that never made it a year.....I'm out of here.Quality is what I PAYED for,and apparently NOT what I am receiving.
"Hand built by one person on earth' eh? Whoever this is,doesn't build the quality they used to.This Stage2EX is at least ten years old, never had an issue.
Either Nord bucks up,or I am gone! Will have no problem unloading them all.Just not as excited about these instruments as I once was.
Nord MUST do better by me.They just aren't as good as they claim to be.

Re: Stage 3 Compact Pitchstick failure AGAIN
I could lend you mine. Absolutely rarely used. Like new.
But seriously: Sorry to hear you are having troubles with them - but if it really happened multiple times to you, I'd ask once again if they can do something (either Nord or the distributor).

Re: Stage 3 Compact Pitchstick failure AGAIN
I’ve had to replace a couple pitch sticks too. I’m sorry you’re going through that. I wasn’t happy about it either, but unfortunately no other keyboard has the Nord pitch stick. It is irreplaceably my favorite part of a Nord. So I’ll keep replacing whenever necessary to get my fix of fun keyboard playing. Happy Father’s Day and good luck with your decision.

Re: Stage 3 Compact Pitchstick failure AGAIN
It's on a Nord stage 2compact , but it's related to pitch stick error...
Worn..maybe due to the hundred of times i had to open it to clean the contacts...!
Even if i love my Nord ! ...a bit tired ofcontacts cleaning and pitchstick error !!

Re: Stage 3 Compact Pitchstick failure AGAIN
After reaching out to Nord about my pitchstick failure after only ten months of use,Nord had the distributor supply me a replacement under warranty! That is what I expect from a world class keyboard manufacturer.Keeping me happy is just good business. How many times people have commented on my sound over the last decade I can't say, rest assured I have done nothing but HELP them sell more!
Why the Compact seems to have more issues than the 88's is beyond me? I don't 'change' my technique when I play an 88?
All better now,the Compact is back to 'working normal',auditioning the new Felt Piano,it has that intimate delicate tone that is so 'woody'.Blends nice with Hammond 'second harmonic' percussion!
Thank you Nord for stepping up and doing right by me! Cheers!

Re: Stage 3 Compact Pitchstick failure AGAIN
Pitchstick already loose after only 8 months.Still working but what a hassle keeping this garbage up to snuff.
Will use the Yamaha MCS2 today instead.Nearly 40 year old MASS PRODUCED controllers that never fail!
No 'upgrades' or future purchases of Nord after the failure of my third pitchstick.
They did provide a replacement after only ten months but the point is they just plain fail and are not as sturdy as the mass produced stuff
from Roland and Yamaha.
I gave them a decade.....been with Roland over 40 years.
What Nord does well is obvious. What they don't do well is now obvious too.
