This suits me. I wouldn't want the HA action any heavier for Hammond playing.
Sometimes wonder if I should have gone for the compact but I'm a piano player more than an organist.

Hi folks,
Just want to share my thoughts.
I'm fine with my Stage 2 EX compact for 2 years right now.
Except one point that's gonna let me think upgrading to a Stage 88.
When playing piano on my Stage, I, from the beginning, have some problems with the left hand "orientation", let me say.
On my 88-keys upright piano I got no troubles.
The Stage 2 compact ends at E (last key and the instrument) and sometimes I don't "find" the correct key, especially when I play double octave with the left hand.
I've planned to visit my favorite store for a test of the Stage 88.
Some of you made a similar experience?
Kind regards Helmut

It is a concern when playing keyboards with less than 88 keys. I fear the gig where I need a note in my left hand and there isn’t one there.

I wish the 76 went down to an A. But since I don’t use the very upper registers very often, I set the pianos down an octave. That waste the few notes below the A that might be nice to have on top, but I’m so seldom up there anyway, I don’t miss it much. For club/bar work, I spent too many years playing 61 key boards, so it’s a natural adjustment for me.

Getting a Stage 3 88 next weekend. Buying from a local vendor, who is giving me an amazing price for the board. It helps to call around and haggle on price. Most places will come down on price, especially when you allow them to bid against each other. Gonna be a big learning curve, coming recently from using Rolands. Looking forward to my new toy!
